What licenses do I need and how much do they cost?List Item 1
We recommend all hunters purchase your hunting license(s) before arriving. The best options are through the internet at www.kdwp.state.ks.us or at licensed KS dealer (i.e. Wal-Mart, Sporting Store). Completion of a hunter safety course is required for all hunters if born after July 1, 1957 for all of our wild game hunts.
- State Hunting License-Resident: $27.50
- State Hunting License-Nonresident: $127.50
- State Hunting License-Nonresident under 16: $42.50
- Controlled Shoot: $27.50*
- KS HIP stamp: $2.50
- KS State Waterfowl stamp: $10.00
- Federal Waterfowl stamp: $29.00
*Preserve bird hunts only require you to purchase a Controlled Shoot license.

How are hunting regulations followed?List Item 2
We strictly adhere to all state and federal regulations. It is your responsibility to do so as well. Failure to comply is grounds for immediate termination of both your hunt and your stay with us.

What clothing and gear do I need?List Item 4
The Kansas weather is notorious for changing very quickly one way or another. Beware of the time of year your hunt is booked and have the proper clothing. We recommend that each hunter have the proper hat, shooting glasses, hearing protection, hunting vest, shooting gloves, hunting pants, and boots. You are investing time and money into your trip; make sure you do some good research to enable you to have the best trip possible.

Am I responsible for game cleaning? Write a description for this list item and include information that will interest site visitors. For example, you may want to describe a team member's experience, what makes a product special, or a unique service that you offer.

Can I bring/hunt with my own dog?
You are welcome to bring your dogs to hunt with you. Please ask management for further details; at a minimum we do ask the following:
- If staying within your room at night, the dog must be in an enclosed kennel
- Dog must be used to household atmosphere, no barking or whining
- Dog must have all needed vaccinations and must never show aggression

Are gratuities included or additional?
Your hunting package does include Kansas sales tax, but it does not include gratuities. If you feel that our cooks, housekeeping or guides have done a great job during your stay, please show them your appreciation.

Downs, Kansas is approximately:
- Four hours from Kansas City
- Two and one-half hours from Wichita
- Five and one-half hours from Denver
